The cool looking graphic in my header came from the En Genius Network, in a story about the Maker Faire in San Mateo where the coil was demonstrated. You can see the full uncropped photo here. The coils are only 8 feet tall, but they look much larger given the perspective of the photo. I wouldn’t want to stand between the electrodes.
