Weird Spam of the Day

OK, like every human with an email account I get countless amounts of spam. Fortunately most of it is caught by the three four five spam filters that clean my inbox (my ISP has one, my web host, my email program’s, etc.). But occasonally one or two slip through. This morning’s beauty? An email titled
“Bill Clinton dismisses his Grammy loss to Obama”
What the frak? Did I miss something? I could have sworn Clinton lost to Rhianna.
The body of the email was just a link to a scary looking URL in the old Czech republic. No doubt some cross scripting site that would turn my PC into a zombie. That’s so 15 minutes ago. My question is, I guess, just how stupid would you have to be to fall for this? (Answer: pretty damned stupid.)

Dan,
You’re supposed to follow the link so we don’t have to. A zombie computer is no excuse for not getting to the bottom of an investigative news item!
oh no, not me. not at least since I tried looking up the birth records for Sarah Palin’s 5th child and found my computer frozen solid — twice in a row. I had to crawl around under my desk and unplug the sucker.
so… why don’t you go there and tell me what you think? it’s here if you dare: volny.cz/marvis/index98.ht.. [ the last two characters are ml ]
