After graduating from ‘98, to ‘2000, then on to xp pro I’ve come to like all the pros of xp. I’ve done a lot of research on Microsoft’s new Vistavirus OS. I’ll tell you now that xp is best hands down. Maybe if Microsoft had actually designed a real and thought out OS instead of trying to grab more money by throwing a bunch of code in a blender then I might be singing it’s praises. Possibly in a few years Microsoft will be able to get Vista up and working (hopefully), then I’ll probably use it unless I get a handle on Linux.

XP is the operating system that Microsoft has ever put out. I’m on my fourth Win 95, Wins 98 & 98 SE and now XP. Folks XP is great, Vista shows every of being as bad five years from now as it is today. Work on XP and Vista and Apple and it’s various systems. I like being able to do things to improve and suit my interest better. I’ll bet most folks with OS X would be scared to death to do something to anything Apple. But hey this is about XP versus Vista and not which computer “god” you serve. For the record I’m a religious person but sometimes if the shoe you have just got to wear ‘em. Vista sucks and God with a capital “G” please, please save XP. Reguarding you Apple fols this really isn’t about you so enjoy your toy.

I live in the uk and read a good magazine every fortnight. It is called Computeractive. Reading the current version there is an article telling us that Microsoft has caved in and will support Windows XP until 2014. That is great for we will continue to get security upgrades and fixes!

I think that we don’T need another os to bother with.It seems that the vista isn’t that wonderful.

I voted for XP because it now works well, admittedly with $150 worth of accessory software that provides security, provides information about “add-on” files, and cleans up clutter and does the “garbage-collection” that the M$ systems never did well.
At the same time I am trying to learn Ubuntu to avoid having to tackle Vista.

xp is a much more stable os. I would rather stay with a older system that is more stable and can run all my software than go to a new system that has new bells and whistles that is incompatible with my software.

& then Windows 7, other disaster from Microsoft.
